So when this edit came out around 4.5 years ago it got quite a bit of hate on here... People saying "holy huck fest, no style, etc". But in recent years it seems "future spins" have become actually popular on this website; Will Wesson, LJ, Dale T, all these guys can be seen throwing some of craziest technical spins/tricks. I guess I just wonder what people think of this video now? Even now looking at some of the rail tricks thrown in this edit they still blow my mind even by today standards, and this video came out 4.5 years ago.

Obviously a bit biased as well, but just figured it would be worth a discussion.

It's been discussed (4 years ago when the contest happened), it was better than Eriksons...but Level 1 obviously picked Erikson over Laker for a reason (possibly cause the kid was 15, but that's speculation). Either way, Laker is still out there killing it and that's really all that matters.
 
Haha no style...definitely. The only thing that didn't look stylish to me was that bright yellow suit, but it was 4 years ago. I would be more than happy if I had the ability to ski that well.
 
it never ceases to amaze me how the tiniest little hill in Indiana produces these kids that slay so hard
 
I remember when i first started skiing (4 years ago), the kid was so cool to watch. He would take 15 second laps down the "mountain" of perfect north slopes and everyone from the chairlift would just have their jaw drop watchinh him
 
I've always been a Laker fan. I remember the fuss when this came out. He skis with 4bi9 now, I think that's enough said.
 
I have videos of him on my account here. I finally opened up my NS account just to post his vids. It was pretty obvious at that time he fucking kills it.
 
Hopefully he comes back from this second knee surgery better than ever. Kid was on some real shit before he blew it out the first time.

I always like this edit too. The S-rail shots are insane considering the difficulty of that rail.

chris laker is one of my favorite skiers in the game, after watching his superunknown back in the day, he was a name i wasnt going to forget. that shit was FUCKED UP technical. Like honestly with a good camera that edit would be ill on todays standards.

Laker make perfect north look so fun, and now that mountain is actually on my list of mountains id like to go to someday, just to check out the vibe and experience skiing in that part of the country.
 
He had to have his second ACL surgery in a row, he hasn't been skiing for 1.5 years now so not sure what everyone is talking about either... He hasn't been involved in the ski community recently cuz he is injured...
 
Hey bud, keep telling everyone that you "know" him. I don't think the first couple times you posted it was enough claiming for the rest of us.
 
thx for the love guys! stoked to come back and join the ski community again this next season, 3 surgeries later on the same knee all within a year and im finally feeling good..
