inspired by the story of richard sumner and this wiki page (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_unusual_deaths look at 2002), we had discussion recently.

if you were sentenced to death in an obscure country, which of the two methods of execution would you choose:

 
I START OFF

1) being rasped to death on a 20 ft rasp. if you choose this, bonus question 1: which one (1,2,3,4 from left to right)?. bonus question 2: standing tall and start at the feet upwards or in "planking" position?

OR

2) being handcuffed to a tree in the middle of nothing and left there with no chance of someone rescuing/finding you.

who the hell would pick the rasped to death option...

at least in the forest you could get killed by a bear or something real quick...

 
whoa...whoa....whoais a machine doing the rasping? or another human being? even so, "starting at the feet or planking positions"....would last forever

still think death by forest is way better
 
how is it not an option? unless the branches are super thick you can just break them. And the handcuffs will help because you can use them to get holds on broken branches.
 
while that is a valid point, i have to include some sort of limitation. either the handcuffs are tied to the ground or the branchea are so thick that you are not able to clim up more than 2 ft. face it. if you choose tree you die because of dehydration or starvation, depending on how much water you can suck out of the trees surface
 
RELEVANT JOKE:

so there are three guys who are stranded in africa. after a few days of searching for civilization they stumble upon a tribe of africans. to the dismay of the guys, the tribe is not friendly and they are given three options: death, butt rape, or "toba"

the first guy goes and says, "well i dont wanna be butt raped, and idk was toba is" so he taken away and murdered.

the next guy says "well i have too much to live for, ill take the buttrape." he is then raped in the butt for 3 hours.

after seeing what had happened to the first two guys, the third guy, quickly chose toba. while he was being lead into a building, he asked the tribe leader " whats toba anyway?"

the tribe leader chuckcled and responded "DEATH BY BUTTRAPE!"

 
maybe the stupidest question there can be asked. rasping would take ages, who could even rasp you? i bet theres not many 20ft people.
 
NEW CHOICE!!

Option 1.

First, your knees are broken so you cannot walk. Then you are pushed down a slide of razors into a pool of lemon juice. In said pool you cannot swim out because your shoes are weighted.

Bottom line: Open wounds burning and drowning.

Option 2.

You are sat in a room tied to a chair. The room is doused in gasoline and set on fire. You are wearing a fireproof suit and have an oxygen mask so you can survive longer than just being burnt alive. The room will continue to burn untill you die.

Bottom line: Watch fire nearly burn you alive, eventually die from no oxygen or fire suit fails.

 
definitely option one, i love lemonade, as soon as i hit the lemonade i would start drinking it till the pool was empty or i drowned in its citrusy sweetness.
 
Forest. Only way i would choose cheese grater was if i was shot through it at a really fast rate, headfirst, instantaneous death

out of all the ones on the wikapedia link i would go laughing to death. He died laughing when he heard that Charles II was taking the throne.

Or i would be skinned to death with clam shells, I mean who doesn't love clams?
 
i'm thinking a 20 foot rasp would have to be proportional, right? #3 from head to toe. can it shower me in cheddar first?
 
i am afraid that head to toe is not an option. either lying flat on your stomach or standing upright. and again, it wont take much longer than 2 minutes
