Chips in base?

I have two relatively small chips near the back of my left ski. They are about a centimeter or 2 long, and a few millimeters deep. I was wondering if skiing with the chips would noticeably effect performance, or further harm the ski in any way. Any help at all would be great.
 
pics would help, but it just sounds like a simple scratch, if its just a scratch, you're fine. If it's really wide (like 3 or 4mm or more) then you might have a problem depending on the positioning. If it is problem it can be easily fixed with Ptex most likely, which any shop can take care of for you.
