Anyone checked out the new Firebowl park at China Peak yet? It's pretty sick. Check out some pics of it on their facebook. They have three parks total, but Firebowl is the best. They've got a new kink rail this year, and some other good stuff.

There's a rail jam on Friday, too. Check it out!
 
haha really its a decent hill? I have a couple friends that went there and said I should roll but I was skeptical, especially cuz they arent exactly seasoned riders. might peep scene once this season though
 
If you ever have any questions, hit me up. Last Saturday my friend and I were the only ones in the park from 3-4. Literally no one else. The setup is super fun. I also think they'll get some good sized jumps going by the end of the season.
 
Yeah CP doesn't get a lot of credit sometimes just cuz Mammoth is around the corner stealing the spotlight.

It's definitely worth a trip to check it out, especially in the middle of the week when you can get the park to yourself. But check ahead first to see if the lift is down for the day. It's snowing up here right now, so the snow's going to be great this week.

The CP website also has a ride share program. A huge chunk of the guests are from SLO so it's possible to find a ride that way.
 
the new owner is a professor at sierra nevada college which is where I go to school. He's really trying to make some changes and recruiting some of the undergrads that he teaches. I hear nothing but good things to come.
