how many of yall r broke as shit? i am 20..i have no job..and my parents r worried about theirs. i don't go to school because i simply lack motivation but i probably should because times like these scare me. if educated people can't find work how do they expect us to get by? im sure alot of u have rich parents who for now can support u but what does the future hold? sucks that money is bullshit and u pretty much aren't gonna have a good time w/out it. what do yall think?

oh and on a sorta related topic because i broke my ankle skiing and had no health insurance i had to move out of my house w/ my grandparents just to qualify for free healthcare because my parents make too much money. I will lose this coverage when i turn 21 in a couple weeks and there is nothing out there to cover me anymore which means if i get injured skiing again im fucked. i wont ever stop but it really sucks to think about. i wish we had healthcare like canada.

try being 26 in this *recession, and if i am "struggling to keep my job" Why the hell should I pay for your healthcare?(Tax money). Not really trying to argue but i dont think you really have it that bad and you are hardly a child.

Go to school, then maybe you can spell recession right. BTW student loans are the cheapest money you will ever get in your life, take full advantage.

I hate to be the grammar police, but I cannot take you seriously when you cannot even spell "Recession". It's not a typo, nor a difficult word to spell; and with it's frequency in the news and published media, I'm fairly confident that everyone should have had the exposure to the word to spell it correctly.

yeah i feel ya man, im hoping things pick up by the time i graduate in 2 or 3 years, the architecture market is spread so thin right now. but hell, if i can't get a job in architecture at first, moving to utah and skiing may be the way to go.

Your a fucking mooch, thats all you are. You want others to pay for

your health care while you do nothing for society. Go find a job, or go

to school. Getting into a community college really is not that hard,

and not too expensive. Stop fucking yourself over in life.

man i feel ya...im 20 and have applied at probly 10 different places and been rejected...i just got done with school to be a fire fighter but if i get on the department here in town it wont be for another year...everyone is raggin on u but i know how it is the job market is slow and the places hiring wont hire unless u have experience in that area of work...im tryin to get on with a sprinkler system company for the summer then hopefully find another job when the summer is over...keep ur head up its tough right now but dont sell urself short in any job if u need money it may mean working a job that u really dont want to....good luck bro

o_O Are you some sort of fucking idiot I've never seen before? You are eligible for medical coverage as long as you are listed as a dependent under your parents on tax forms. Here's an idea:

Go to school, or get a fucking job you white trash piece of bumming shit. Jobs are easy to find if you ACTUALLY TRY. Go to McDonald's, construction, customer service, telemarketing - anything is better than coming onto NS bitching about how you've got no motivation to anything and now you're fucked because of it. Man the fuck up. You were right. You are a CHILD of the recession. Real MEN of the recession are out there surviving and not being a burden on everyone around them.

theres always crap jobs hiring (Mcdonalds, gas stations, w/e), and theres also temp agencies. just need to get out there and make things happen.

id suggest quiznos if you end up going for a fast food sorta job, hands down the best crap job i had, and you dont have to worry about dinner. haha

right now i don't have a job, and it does suck. but frankly, i'm just lazy. i have money, and i have job opportunities (but i don't want to work at the same place again, plus like i said, i have money saved up). there are plenty of shit places you can work. grocery stores, gas stations, fast food, etc. go on craigslist and check shit out. or go to like, www.snagajob.com. it'll tell you all the available jobs in the area. its really not that hard to find a job if you are persistent enough. people that are being laid off, they just don't want to work in typical teenager jobs. i'm definitely being opinionated, but thats just what i'm thinkin (plus mcdonalds isn't going to pay enough to make a living, but at 20, you really don't need too much money ya dig)

army, cant go wrong. 2 ways, 2 years of service = g.i bill and sweet pension

20 years= lots of job offers plus pension plus u miss the recession

During these times its all about who you know. Ask around to anyone who you might think could even have a slim chance of knowing a job opening for you. Over 80% of jobs arnt advertised so when people stop needing new workers in an economic downturn you cant rely on the internet or the newspaper to find a job. Seriously ask everyone and mention to everyone you are looking for a job.
If you cant do the above then you can always go to school for a few years until things pick up again. By the time youd be out of school youll have a degree and the economic situation should be much better. But if you are too lazy to ask around for a job you probably arnt going to do well in school.

you're broke as shit because you don't have a job not because of the "resession". super facepalm towards your direction you don't have a job because you're not trying.

instead of making a thread bitching on newschoolers about how you dont go to school and you're unemployed, drive over to your local community college apply for financial aid and student loans and get an education. or at least go and try and apply for some jobs and get the fuck off your parents dime.

supporting yourself is possible if you're not a lazy piece of shit suprisingly.
