Chicopee

Most likely going to Wilfrid Laurier for university. Looks like the closest "mountain" is Chicopee only 10km away. What is the park like? Any other place to go ride that is close-by?

park is pretty poor, the jump always got mangled and they've had the same rails for like a million years and they're well setup, just the setup doesn't vary much. I went to laurier too, chicopee is a good place to go at night but blue or louis on the weekends

Another hill that is not fa from Chicopee is Glen Eden in Milton Ontario. The parks gonna be sick this year because they bought new features for this season and last year they put the park on a newly re-graded run! We just got to wait and see how the park is going to be like this season.

Geln eden did just some get new features, but it was so fucking bad last year. the jumps. almost un-hitable. Their set-up and maintenance is pathetic! Plus it's like 45 mins away. Chicopee really is just night skiing spot if your serious. So is the glen.

It's a good place to go for a few quick laps, they don't offer any challenging features. It is a very mellow park. Chicopee may not deliver the most exhilarating runs, but that doesn't mean you won't have any fun over there. It's very close to Laurier, so you can go night skiing during the week without driving way out.

what are you going to laurier for?, i thought you were leaning towards Queens?

and yeah come to glen eden, it really looks like they stepped it up this year.

Well I'm looking to get a Business degree, either a Bachelor of Commerce or Business Administration. Queen's is going to be really hard to get into, did some research and the cut off last year was an 87 average which I don't have. Wilfrid Laurier has a really big business school and is well ranked so I thought I would apply here too.

Ah I see, yeah queens has a really sick business program. really hard to get into, try if you can though

as for laurier, i have a grudge against them because they didnt accept me for commerce double degree program but they still have a top notch business school for sure. I had a 86 total average with 87 in calculus and 82 in functions, still didnt get in.

Apply to Mcmaster for commerce, the program here is pretty good, its no laurier or queens but its an unreal school, the ski and board club here has a really good atmosphere and the members here really throw sick events and try to get all the first year members involved

Theres also Western but they dont do Ivey accepts til i think third year.

ive ridden at chicopee, its not a phenominal park but atleast there is somewhere for you to ski occasionally.

Yeah i would definitely agree with you on the maintenance of the park! But thats what you get when you hire snowboarders to do it! They are hiring lots of new park staff this year so hopefully there will be some skiers in the park crew! Anyways, the features are sometimes so badly maintained and sometimes they are un-hittable because there isn't even a lip for the rail or box.

Better than nothing, I usually only go when they have the dave fm days or whatever. Cheaper ticket that way. Hope they do it again this year.
