Chick goes full send in the pipe

This chick is a disgrace to our sport. Read the comments on her IG from people in Hungary that are ashamed of how she represented their country. She cheated the quali system and embarrassed an entire country so that she could personally experience the games.

She is American, lives in Cali. She found a loop hole that got her on the Hungarian team
 
I think it's hilarious. She's also run for governor of California and has a degree from Harvard. She's just filling her life full of all sorts of things hardly anyone gets a chance to do and is doing it all through technicalities and not skill. Way to play the system. Go her. I hope to see her in 2022 competing for Venezuela.

This reminds me of the Sochi Olympics where the Russian male skier sent straight airs over all the jumps.

Fuck I'm either going trans and competing women's next Olympics, or competing for Kazakhstan.

This is such a slap in the face to all the female skiers who are way good and didn't make the cut. Wtf.
 
i mean letting that level of skiing into the games is self-sabotaging their branding as the top level of sports performance...

The other thing that pissed me off is how the announcers (thanks to our culture where you are columbian dick tie’d for any negative comment about a woman) were taking this joke cunt seriously. If i were the announcer i would be laughing histerically saying “sorry folks it looks like somebody let their little girl wander onto the half pipe course”

The world feed announcers trying SO hard to be nice while she was going...you could tell even they were cringing the whole time. At least LVV didn’t have to try and announce that run.
 
It’s so sad that she made her way into the olympics cheating the system, makes her country look bad along with the sport.
 
I really don't think the general public who aren't like ski bums will care or think of skiing much different from what they already do seeing her ski, you also have to dig to find the livestream channel for qualifiers so most judt watch primetime. I think if it wasn't blown up less people would be so pissed by it, sure fuck her but honestly what hammer tossing pipe skier would fill her spot instead?

I mean, you’re right...my wife (who snowboards and follows action sports minimally, but more than the average person) and I watched the full feed this afternooon, when she came on my wife said “she’s probably not gonna make the cut, huh” and when I explained the controversy she said “I don’t really see the big deal, yeah she gamed the system, but did she really take anyone’s spot?” And she’s right, no one who wasn’t watching the world stream saw the run, and those that did won’t really notice or care. Yeah, it’s a bad showing for “her country” and “her sport” but in the long run, no one will remember it. People forget about legit gold medal runs after a week, this really means nothing.

They won't forget, but they'll laugh, not be disgusted with women's freeskiing. I almost see it as a reason to complain about skiing in the Olympics, currently watching the rerun of qualis, waiting for her to drop.
 
i don't get it. like congrats, you're at the olympics, like literally everyone wishes they were, but how can you feel remotely fulfilled if you are that shit and just gamed the system to get there...
 
im not sure i totally understand the scoring thing. isn't it just judged by "overall impression" like slope is? if so, how would a legit run with a fall be scored lower than a full run of below-the-lip "airs?" maybe enough people fall towards the top and then just ski down?

not taking a side on all of this, but some say someone like this should be the first run of every sport broadcast, to remind you how good the competitors are

The judges have to score her higher than crash scores because otherwise she could protest. Crash always means game over, and she doesn't ever fall..

On another note, am I the only one who's totally sick of seeing posts/videos/articles about her literally everywhere? this is exactly why it's extremely bad for our sport. Her video has over half a million views.

You need to calm the fuck down over this, what part of skiing is she going to ruin? She's not gonna effect sales at ski stores or the resorts, she's a laughing stock herself, the finals for pipe showed that most of the professionals can but a heavy run down, and to a litle more than half a million people on national tv I imagine. Jesus Christ be pissed that she rigged the system, not that she can't ski for shit.
 
OMFG apparently she was quoted by the AP saying "I didn't qualify for finals so I'm really disappointed," This chick is straight up delusional. You would really think that having invested so much time involved with the sport, even at here level, she would have come to terms with the fact her intentions are only self-serving and that she's wasting errybodies time.
