I recently rediscovered my love for this game. Been playing pretty avidly but still sub 1000 (bad). Anyone else play? Im on chess.com if anyones down to play.
 
my peak was around 1000 on chess.com, but i've gradually fallen out. Down to play tho. Masterguy98 on chess.com, send me a friend requests and let's choose a time to play.

Im setting a goal for myself to be around 1500 by the end of winter. I didnt realize how much memory there is involved. Predicting moves is one thing but being able to draw on various attacks and defenses takes you to the next level. So much fun. Wish I was in a chess club, probably would learn a lot faster

Trust me, it's take so much longer than the end of winter to get to 1500. some friends of mine are up there in the 1500-1700 range and they said if you even hope of getting up there it's practice and studying for at least a year. You need to study openings and good endgame moves and be a machine. If you really want to tho i can ask them for some book recommendations to get you started on the slow and tough climb all the way to 1500.

you guys know that you can play chess in your fb chat? Just message whoever you want to play against "@fbchess play" and to move you just abbreviate the first letter of the piece you want to move and the letter/number of the square you are moving it to ex. "@fbchess Nh6" (N=knight because K=king)

Haha shoot for the moon right? And yeah im looking for anyrhing. Ive only been using the fried liver opening or sicilian defense. I have no middle or end game.

If you want to see some good people play chess look for huscenbeth on youtube. He makes intructional and interestibg videos. Or if you want sort of comedy look for Hutch still on youtube. I'll call my frienda and ask for some book titles.
