Quick question. I know how to find the complete electron configuration of elements but I forget how to find the electron configuration using noble gas notation for an element (a random one being Phosphorus)

So any help would be sweet.

You're talking about shorthand. It's really pretty easy, for phosphorous, you state the noble gas immediately before it. In this case, neon. You then continue the configurations after neon, (3s2, 2p3)
