A friend of mine just posted this and I think this deserves a little bit more recognition. What do you guys think of it?

 
His dad owns a 60D, i think i'm gonna see if he'll record it with that, because i agree it doesnt sound the greatest on the gopro haha.
 
I thought you hated dubstep and skrillex?....

That said I've always wanted to do this but recently I haven't had a piano or the time.

I feel like skrillex writes a lot of his stuff like this, or he could at least... I just hear piano playing behind his songs. It would be so easy to just compose on a digital piano, record the MIDI and split the MIDI up for different parts.

That was dope, definitely enjoyed it.
 
Also: tell your friend to use less pedal. The drop has the potential to be dope but it needs to flow without the pedal, its like putting a ton of reverb on a mid bass for a dubstep drop, it just ends up sounding weird. Skrilly has sonically unclean stuff but its not mashing together on all those frequencies, its really clean producing.

Just a thought, I know from personal experience that its really easy and tempting to just pedal the fuck out of everything because it sounds so good. Real challenge to flow without it, requires more precision but the clarity on each note is worth it.
 
Pick up a zoom h1 on eBay for like 60 and crank out some songs. It was pretty cool thougb
 
Do you know if he used music for this, or just went off of listening. I really enjoy that arrangement.
