they might chip, but i put a whole bunch of marine spar varnish over the paint job, which will hopefully make them more durable.

to very literally define the term, hammers are generally the 'ender-ender' tricks of a person's segment. All the super gnarly slow-mo tricks at the end of someone's skate segment in a video are their hammers.
