Cheap Vs Expensive Bindings?

I have been doing a lot of research online recently and I have found multiple bindings that are good. From my research I have concluded that the best bindings in the mid range are Marker Griffon, Look Pivot 14, Look SPX 12, Salomon Warden and Salomon STH2 13. I am just wondering if I can find any of these at a good price should I just get them rather than looking at which one is better, is there a big difference between say Look Pivot 14 and Look SPX12 because there is around a 100$ price difference.

Thanks!

Posted this earlier today, so if you're looking to fit wider skis, here's a cheap deal. Basically the pivots when marketed under the FKS branding. Made by LOOK.

Interesting questions though. Not really sure, but probably the materials used, different technologies in the bindings, weight of bindings, wtr features, and max din range can all affect price. The pivots also pivot, where the spx doesn't.

Imo pivots are worth the cash. I've had pairs that last for seasons of abuse and keep on giving. Just get the pivot 18s and then dont buy another pair for 10 years. I still have a pair of old school fks that are 15 years old, still better than Griffons.

What are you looking to set your din at? Because I see you mentioned spx 12 but pivot 14. Why not pivot 12? That's a $50 difference between the 12 and 14, and $100 difference between 12 and 18 pivots.

I would only get the pivots if you ride a ton of park and money isn't a problem. For me the difference of some more responsiveness isn't really worth it. I'd get the spx but it's your call man pivots are sick bindings.

I have marker griffons and have been using them for 2 years now and have had zero issues, I bought them in 2016 and at the time they were the 2015 model and I got them for $110, so buying last years model of any bindings is a good idea. Also I found cheeper binding don't hold up well if your around the 150ib range or more, before I had my griffons I broke a lot of heal pieces.
