I'm taking a trip out to athens next may and i dont want to drop 1200 on a plane ticket if i don't neccesarily have too. I've come across a few sites on the net that claim to give you cheap airfare(up to 85% off) for a year membership fee. http://www.affordabletravel.org/

I don't know what to beleive because the sites dont look that legit. Besides having your dad work for an airline or credit card miles, is cheap airfare at all possible?

Travel agents actually have good deals some of the time. Try STA Travel, they got my friends to Europe and back for $990.

Also check out Jetblue, Ryan Air and Easyjet. These airlines usually can provide you witha cheap flight, as long as you travel light (they will NAIL you if your baggage is overweight, look carefully!) and dont mind flying into somewhat obscure airports (Luton instead of Heathrow for example. Busses and local transit to city's still is cheaper in most cases, so if you dont mind a little extra travel, go for it!).

its deffinatly out there, you just have to be pacient al really shop around. Try getting quotes from travl agents and check out the major sites like travelocity

a girl at my schools dad works for aircanada and she can go anywhere in the world for 2$ (no joke) so talk to your dad, im sure he should know his shit.

haha i wasn't saying that my dad works for them, i was saying that is it possible for something other than having your dad work there.

but yeah were going to hook up with my friends dads travel agent and see what he can get...
