He isnt as crazy as he plays it off im pretty sure. he knows what hes about. A lot of it is just an act/joke to him. I think hes got his head screwed on pretty well for a murderous cult leader.
 
Its funny, before I ever saw a video of Charles Manson or read anything he said I always assumed him to be very intelligent, because he inspired a bunch of cult followers and now lots of confused 16 year olds think he's the coolest thing ever.

He's fucking retarded though, he's basically an insane homeless person. Everyone that thinks he is cool or deep in any way is a moron. He reminds me of G.G. Allin, another retarded douchebag who for some reason is considered cool by a bunch of people. Not that anyone ever said G.G. Allin was smart.
 
But the fact that he had Anti Social Personality Disorder gave him the gift of manipulation of people. And his psych was wonderful, save the killing part.
 
if you don't think he had brilliant charismatic abilities, you are a moron. I don't think he is "cool", in fact I think he is a murderous fuck. Also, after 30 some years in the slammer, not to mention the fact that before the murders he had spent more than half of his life behind bars, he is obviously lost any of his charismatic character, leaving just a crazy old bum.
 
ehhh, you give him FAR too much credit. The people he brainwashed were by no means "free thinkers" or independents. They were people who were young, extremely naive and impressionable, and down on their luck. It doesn't take much charisma to draw such weak-minded fools to your cause, especially when you are able to play on their weaknesses by promising them something a rational individual with an ounce of free will would see as bullshit. I wouldn't give him that much credit, or those mindless sheep who followed him either. It takes real charisma to sway someone who is of sound mind and solid will.
 
His cult was based half on the bible and half on a Beatles album, anyone that followed him was either very stupid or on so much acid they didn't even know what was going on.
 
Manson is not a stupid man. He is very intelligent. If you watch some of his interviews, you can tell he knows what hes talking about behind all of the insanity. Hes fucking batshit insane, but hes not an idiot.

he's insane, but he knew what he was doing, which made him the worst type of insane person. He killed people for essentially no reason, other than his own insane, stupid, beliefs.

Fortunately, he'll never get out of prison being that everytime he comes up for parole, he pretty much tells the court that the first thing he'd do is kill everyone if they let him out.

We were talking about him at school the other day, and for some reason googling pictures of this crazy mofo. Anyways, as soon as I saw this one, I did not think of Crabman (who does strike a resemblance) I thought of one of my favorite pro's, Mark Abma:
