Changing Color of Boots

I'll start off by admitting how small of a problem this is considering you can hardly even see your boots, so who the hell cares but...

That being said, I have the red Hot Doggers from a couple years back and love them but don't really wear any red and just would rather have my boots be black or a color that stood out a little less. Anyone know of a way to spray paint or anything to change the color? k+ for any kind of help.

You can definitely dye plastics. Pretty sure you have to go darker in color though. People used to do this with the little plastic rollers on chain guards on bikes. No idea on the process. Just google "dyeing plastics" or something.

if they are red, black dye will work, or at the least make them a very dark red, almost black.

most people use rit dye for doing this, and there have been some good results. the only problem ive heard about is it starts to fade after maybe two seasons, but it will still hold up longer than any other method.

depending on if you have had any shell work done (shell punch or any spots ground out), you could even try to trade shells with somebody else
