I was reading about this but there are no pictures I can find. I think I may have hit it when I was in Utah last weekend. I was skiing a little bit of out of bounds at Alta and I hit a natural jump and it felt pretty big. My mom said I was really high in the air. Can anyone explain to me if that is right? It may have been the other one though, called the Pyramid which is near the same place I believe.

 
you would know if youre hitting the pyramid or chads.

according to powder mag, you need to hit chads head on going 55 mph. a natural jump and a 120ft. gap jump are two diff things.

55 MPH? I felt like I was going pretty fast, but that sounds really really fast. Maybe it was the Pyramid then. It was a big lip and then a nice down landing.

From the sounds of it, I am guessing it was not the famed Chad's Gap. Whatever it was, my mom and Amy both said it was sick and it was at Alta.

Haha it was chad's gap alright, that jump isnt even up any more... Travis Rice took down the jump put rocks on the landing so no one could hit it... you'd have to go there and build the jump back up before you could just hit it going 'out of bounds'

 
actually I went up there the other day. And the jump would take a day or two to build. And landing looks really good. The rocks only made it hard for crews to hit it last season. But now... the rocks have sunk to the ground.
