centermounting issues

On PE's the recommended sole postion is way back from center-mount. I was wondering if they did this for a reason. Mine are +4 in order to get a bit closer to center, but i think i am going to go even further. Should PE's be center mounted?

where they say 'midsole' that is where you would traditionally mount a ski for general skiing use or all mountain. the more park your going to ski, the closer to center you should have your bindings
