my scratch FS r mounted how there s'posed to be. the front is like 3 inches or so longer then the front. its perfect, for allmountain and park

yay 4 skiing

yea there are 2 mounting spots on the new ones. normal and center. which one???

centre mount blows for out of park, and regular mount doesn't hurt park at all, so its an easy choice, if you plan to ski around not just huck then mount normal

yeah good call, but you'd get used to the centre mount and wouldn't notice it out of park after a while

go 50/50 between the two thats what i did and they rip. the dotted line is not center mounted eather, its just 2cm forwards of center of sidecut.

What is with all of you not wanting to put your boot in the center of the sidecut? I have skied on boards both ways, and mounting them more center makes them ski worse. Are you that concerned with not being able to rotate or do rails? I have learned rails using 195cm straight skis. Put your boot where it is supposed to go and use the edge the way it was meant.

i like to mount mine slightly forward for switch powder riding/landing but not center mount, its too specialized for what i do

if you can't decide, compromise, mount one center and the other one normal, then go for it dude!

I mounted my scratches halfway between the two lines, I will probably change it around when I get a new pair though just to see how I like the difference. I would not mount them center unless you are planning to to mostly park skiing.

mount skis where they're supposed to be mounted. Get a jig, or take it somewhere that has a jig...mount them in the appropriate place. There is so much technology that goes into mounting positions on skis...i think you might not realize. If you want a center mounted ski- go buy a center mounted ski. If you want an all mountain ski that's good for everything, buy just that and mount them where the cut design specifies you mount them. My two cents

center mount takes some getting used to but much better for the park and a good skier will have no problem skiing them out of the park.

Just not recomended for powder or bc

i changed mine to closer to centyer and after a few runs couldnt even tell anymore.

mount them wherever you want, who cares if they ride shitty, they'll be the way you like them, do whatever you want,

why buy skis if you're not even gonna use the whole ski. Center mounting takes away from the ski and I don't care how good you are, the performance of the ski is most definantely altered.

I have read scratch fs's mounting spot is really center of the ski and it better if you mount bindings little bit backwards. And you are talking about mounting them forward.

Sorry monkey, but the neither the solid or dotted mounting line on the scratches (fs or bc), is the center of the ski. (center of sidecut maybe) but not center of ski. don't mount them back of the line.

The dotted line is about 2-3cm forward of the solid line. The scratch can be mounted anywhere between the two lines for optimum performance.
