center mounted binding??

Im probly gonna get the 1080 Dorions and was wonderin if I should get the binding center mounted? I will be doin 75% terrain park and half pipe. But will center mounted bindings suck on every thing else?? Or should I get them almost center mounted but set back like an inch???

I'd go with what salomon says, changing where they are mounted will mess up the sidecut...if you want center (or nearly center) mounted skis get the line 1260s or the Scratchs. But it's up to you

ya I never really thought about the side cut but your right...well I want the ten- eights and I've seen pictures and the mounted pretty close to the center. I think the front is about 3 or 4 inches longer then the tail.

I was gonna do the same thing with my Dynastars. Heres the deal. You can only mount your binding forward like 2 or 3cm cuz of some piece in your ski that the screws catch on to. I mounted mine up 2cm and put demo bindings on. I pushed my boot all the way forwad and wa la!! centermount!! If you mount it any further than 3cm the chances of the binding ripping out of the ski go waaaaay up. I just played it safe.

it all depends on the ski...the 1080's are pretty close to a center mounted binding...same with most twinners...just mount the binding where it says...if a ski is desinged for park/pipe (like the 1080's) they'll desing the binding placement to match
