Center mount

ok so i spin REALLY slow. i can get 3s but i took forever to learn and i have to throw really hard to get them around. would i spin much faster if my bindings were center mount. now they are 3cm up from the traditional mounting spot
 
not at all, you need to learn how to spin first. Just do a whole lot of 3's and yuou'll get better.

 
It doesnt effect rail balance at all. Physically, yes, it does, because there will be more weight on one side than the other, but it shouldnt be enough to notice, unless you are doing switchups, which brings me right back to my first point, which is how it reduces swing weight greatly.
 
Mount core center, or just a few up from there. I would only mount a ski true center if it was symmetrical (Addict, urban trips, invaders). Unless you ski 110% in the park....
 
I ski my fujas core center and switch is fine, and jumps are fine (I can only do up to a 5 so far) and I haven't really done shit in terms of rails so I couldn't give an accurate description of their performance on rails core center. I love my fujas though.
 
the fujis do fine spinning above a 5, I actually prefer having centermount when spinning a lot because the swing weight is equal, so it doesnt throw you off rotation.

They are also really nice on rails, I dont really do switch ups a whole lot, but the ones that I have done have been done easily enough.

The only thing that matters w/ rails and skis is how much edge is on them, rail performance doesnt really differ between skis a whole lot, though popping onto rails is effected.
 
looking back i really wish i had got them mounted center but they're my 1st pair of twins and the guy at the shop had me convinced that it would be hard to adjuct to. o well now i know for the next skis i get
 
no way thats crazy, mine are centered according to k2 mounting but id say still 2 cm back from true center. that must be nuts

its not the speed of spinning, but the drag of extra long tips when spinning a lot can throw you off. at leaste in my experience, though you can compensate fairly easily.
 
there's no reason to NOT center mount if ur mostly park-it gives u the perfect swing weight for spins, rail centeredness, easier sw carving...the only draw back is you lose some of your ability to carve(skiing frontwards)dpending on where the sweet spot of your ski is-mostlt it just takes some getting used to though, even the carving thing. My last two pairs of skis have been center mounted and now my AR6's are...they are not symetrical(the tips r wider than tails) but it still feels better than a reg mount would for park.

no it wouldn't help, but looking over you're shoulder the entire time, and spinning with you're entire body, especially the hips helps.
 
its not a matter of sacking up. i wanna ride true center now but dont know how to mount skis myself. i could take it to the shop but then i dont have them for a few days and with only 3 weeks left in the season its not a big enough deal
