I got in the hot tub with my cell phone in my pocket, anyone know what I can do to help fix it. My friend said to put it in a freezer so all the water in the battery freezes out, does anyone know anything else?

put it in a bowl full of rubbing alcohol, and let the alcohol evaporate. it will cure it. no shit.

putting it in the freezer wont do anything just freeze the water ive never done the alchohol thing but id take it all apart and let it dry and then if it doesnt work take to radio shack or where u bought it and say it did this on its own and i didnt do anything and if its still under warranty thell replace it for free

yeah freezing it is a fucking stupid idea. what happens when the ice melts, eh? yeah. the rubbing alcohol thing sounds like it would work. when you ge water behind your eardrum you put rubbing alcohol in your ear to make it evaporate. what do you have to lose?

just let it sit for a day or 2 with the battery out and the screen flipped up (if its a flip phone). it should dry out and be fine.

I dropped mine in a puddle last summer, and tried to let it dry for a couple days and it didn't do shit. Luckily my phone was insured through verizon so I got a new one. I should have tried that rubbing alcohol thing though.

my friend did that and had to get a new one

I know someone who dropped his in a toilet and he dried it out and it works fine. My suggestion is to put it in front of a fan or air conditioning vent so it will take less time to dry completely

I left mine on a shelf and somebody put a popsicle next to it. The popsicle melted and corroded all the wiring in my phone. It's dead now.
