Caught my mom smoking weed

My mom has always been the typical "Don't do drugs. they're bad for you" type. She always told me when I was a kid to stay away from them. Ive heard from family members that when she was young, she liked to party a lot. I can't really see it in her as she isn't much of a social butterfly and I've never seen her drink. My parents are always going to concerts though. Usually they'll go to a Paul McCartney concert or something, and then they'll come home st like 1 and go to bed. So last night there was a Billy Joel concert in town. My parents went out and I went to work my evening shift at Dairy Queen. Normally i get home around 10, but I went to my friends place for a little afterward. Got back at my place around 2 in the morning. I didn't want to wake them up cause I knew they'd be pissed at me for coming home so late. I decided to walk around to the back door. As I was in my backyard, the scent of burning ganja smacked my nostrils. I heard muffled voices. I turned the corner thinking it was my brother and his friends, but it wasn't them. It was my mom and her friends. She was standing right in front of me smoking a J. I made eye contact with her bloodshot eyes. Her pupils constricted and she said "MICHAEL WHAT ARE YOU DOING UP SO LATE". To which I replied "Sorry mom I was at work and I didn't want to wake you up" She then yelled at me "GO TO BED. IT'S LATE". I had a shit eating grin on my face at this point. I asked her "Mom are you smoking"? Her face became as red as the kush embers. She exclaimed "THIS IS A CIGARETTE. I'VE HAD A VERY STRESSFUL NIGHT. NOW GO TO BED". And I went to bed.

Sooo like what should I do lol. I was thinking just buy one of those Walmart drug tests and just set it on the counter when she comes home.
 
Lol my mom liked to party as a teen, still definetly will but she hasn't smoked pot for about 20 years....dad on the other hand, I'm suspicious
 
Only one thing to do, as a responsible son who cares about his mother. Kick her out of the house and cut off her allowance until she starts making better decisions. Tell her that drugs, and those who use them, have no place in your home. Explain that you are kicking her out because you care about her, and that she needs to realize that her actions have consequences.
 
I'd sarcastically give her shit and make her think you're pissed. Id love to be in this position
 
Purposely get caught smoking by your dad and tell him your mom said this was what tobacco smelled like
 
get some weed from a friend or something and then confront her about it and be like "you know how illegal this stuff is?" and pull out a little baggy/joint. maybe even spark up right in front of her.

a few years ago one of my friends found a joint in his moms purse before they moved to toronto. i talked to him a couple months ago and he told me that his mom bought him a bong, buys him cigs, and doesnt care they he smokes weed all day instead of going to school, does xanax, and is a failure
 
gunna get my grandma stoned for the first time since the 60s when i go back home this week...
 
The other day I was with my dad in Seattle. As we walked, I could smell a ton of weed. I looked at my dad and he had like an angry look on his face. I said what's wrong dad? He said nothing, just smelled an old friend....

Who cares. Adults sometimes smoke weed.

Not the best thing to do until your brain is fully developed however. I've had this talk with a lot of athletes, and I don't see a problem once you are mature (like 18-20) and can understand how it can affect you, your motivation and brain. "Its just a plant, it just grows like this, should you happens to light it on fire, there may be some effects. Mainly hungry, happy, sleepy.
 
Allow that experience to influence your Christmas/birthday gift to her.

AKA: Buy her a fat sack of dank for Xmas, birthday, winter solstice, April 20th, ect

This. You should take a little bit of your DQ money and buy her some flowers or something too. Remember you were freeloading for 9 months before you were even born and she still lets you live there. Sounds like you are pretty fortunate op.

I greased the water truck I work on and when I realized what I was putting in my body I almost threw up and ate around it.
 
Haha me and 5 of my friends were on a trip and we all got caught and she took all of it from each one of us between all of us I think we had 15-20 grams that got flushed. She was so pissed all the parents blame me still I got fucked and then just told her rap made me do it but I ain't no rat.
 
I've never met any mom who would just literally say that you should do drugs because they are good for you. Obviously, every advice you get from anyone, whether it's your parents, your friends, or your school teacher, has at its core a certain amount of life experience gathered in time by these people, in certain circumstances and most likely, in different environments. I just hope you didn't do as you've planned because that would have very embarrassing for your mom, and she might have well started using maeng da afterward, to keep herself together. Don't be harsh on your mother and always be there for her, no matter what.
