i can spin sw up to 7 but somtimes i catch my tips mad hard and pretty much just escape with my life... just wondering how i can avoid doing that.

it might be more spinning to early than popping to early, you want to be patient, get a solid pop off the lip and then start your spin.

its not that your popping to early, your spinning to early. make sure you pop hard then set your spin. once you start spinning on the lip(unless your carving into it) thats when you run into problems with catching your tips. hope that helps a little

well on of your fellow ns has solved it for you. Do you know which on it is?

both are right, but I think its the guy telling you to wait longer. When taking off switch its very important to to be peasants. Letting those tips clear the take of is a must. But there is one other thing it could be and this is less common but can be super deadly. Some people pop to early and pull there feet up so fast they drag there tips on the take off. Now both come back to the same solution peasants

Try this. Because your taking off switch you already have 180 built up in your hips(no need to set with your arms just pull it in with your knees). Try doing a bunch of late 180s. take off and wait as long as you can to pull your feet around. this will give you an idea how long you really can wait.

i always carve into my switch hits. it makes you look badass and it sets the cork all by itself, all you gotta do is like fall onto your back at the lip and then like stomp that bitch you know what i mean?

Should i keep my feet staggered when i'm spinning switch or just get super wide and low? It looks to me like harlaut just gets really low and wide and he's prolly the best switch spinning in the game right now.

Also should i wait for the noses of my skis to clear before taking off or should i try to let my right ski slide off the lip (spinning left)?

as for your stance I would go low, wide and slightly staggered. its a mix of both. With a mix of whatever feels natural.

Oh, man I would never TRY to get my ski tip to drag off the jump it just happens some times and you have to be ready for it. Try and let your hole body take off as one after your pop. Like in a back flip tuck, imagin letting one foot drag behind.

you digg?
