i have a GM-D7500M pioneer amp with 800 watt max output and i have to 12" type r alpine subs is this amp good enough for these subs?
 
you could do that but that will be working ur amp pretty hard. i know guys who have single 12" subs and power them with 1200 watt amps
 
it will work, but you power output is a little low. i run 800 watts to 1 type r. go ahead and hook it up, just keep your eye out for a new amp in the future
 
just use one sub and sell the other. but then you'd gotta buy a new box.

you'd be better off just running one sub off that amp. buy another amp if you want to use both, and then use one amp for each sub.
 
find the rms of each sub, 400 for each sounds pretty weak, just sell it and go with a 1200 or 1800 watt if they can handle it. If your going to pay money and stick it in your car, make sure its going to sound powerful and hit hard.
