Hey switched plans...going to SLC instead of whistler cuz of all the fucking rain. I've been out to alta and snowbird plenty, we'll hit that, but I wanted to check out the canyons too, heard their parks are pretty good...any suggestions?

 
Yea I was at Snowbasin a year before the olympics...it was pretty good, didn't quite have the terrain I was hoping for, but still fun. Lots of untouched even though it hadn't snowed in 4 or 5 days. Thanks for the suggestions.

also try grizzly gulch cat skiing if you have the money...and solitude has a backcountry program called backtracks..i know they go to wolverine cirque sometimes..

 
yea im planning on hiking grizzly just to take a look at chads and the pyramid (and for the skiing), def. will check out the cat skiing...for future ref. look for mike at steamboat powdercats if you ever head that way...he makes for a good damned day in steamboat bc

 
It's a lot quicker to get to wolverine from alta than solitude plus you can ski down grizzly on your way back to the car. I hear canyons is the biggest resort in park city but I also heard their park doesn't hold a candle to PC's

Ive only been to PC once, hiked jupiter, but really didnt like it for how much i paid. dhavent hit deer valley, but dont want to. My dad was out at the canyons and loved it, but he sticks to his rear entry salomons and 192 elans on the blues so...

 
if you actually wanna ski, dont go up to park city. if your low on cash and wanna play in a park, brighton ($41 lift tickets) has a pretty fun park, nothing crazy, but you can def have fun in it, plus tons of super easy to access backcountry. otherwise, just stick to little cottonwood if you can afford it

 
well... you can buy discount tickets from almost any shop in salt lake city for like 15 bucks cheaper then the real price.
