Can't spin onto rails/ Losing confidence on them

I was able to spin off of rails two years ago, but now I have a hard time edging on rails. I also have a hard time committing to spinning onto rails, any tips? I have been getting super frustrated with this.

I got into a situation where I didn’t hit a rail in over two years given traveling, non park skis, and resorts without parks. Just gotta remind yourself you’ve got it and trust in your instincts. Take it slow. It’ll feel rusty but it’s in there. It’s just like riding a bike.

Meditation. Try it out.

I'd try re-learning it in the same way that you originally learned it, even if it takes a bit of time. Better get it proper than struggle to get it back.

Sounds funny but literally jumping on and off of shit (steps, ledges, fuck it roll the dice and use a foam roller it'll help with balance, spotting, etc. I feel where ur at tho I'm coming back from taking a season off and its trippy how much you can lose.

hopefully your hills got a decent tube to help you out

Mental blocks go beyond just skiing. What you may be experiencing is a balance between how much you want it and how much you don't really wanna get hurt. You can see this in dudes who are hungry. They'll send anything they can get their hands on. They're frothing at the mouth for the chance to land a new trick or do something outside the box. If you are committed to skiing and want to learn new tricks and progress in the park, then you must first accept that you will at some point get hurt. Mentally you have to be ok with that idea and be able to put that all to the side when it comes time to try a trick. Don't be ashamed if you don't want that. I'm 26, I have a job and a wife. I don't want to get hurt. As a result, I'm only trying new tricks on slushy bluebird days on an easy feature with it being a trick that I really wanna do, like something weird. Skiing is all about having fun. You don't like spinning onto rails? Dont! Make that your thing! Go faster instead, surface swap stuff, learn how to do various grabs on the rail, etc. The world is yours, don't get too caught up.

idk but we live on a floating rock so commitment shouldn’t be an issue

Never thought of that before I just landed the first sextuple cork 21
