Can’t land cork 7 on trampoline

I have done the cork 7 progression at least 100 times and have tried the cork 7 but every time I don’t uncork and I land on my back or sometimes I even go to 9. Not sure how to bring it to my feet.

You gotta pop up and back before you wrap your arms, you weren’t on the cork axis there

I think I have a fear of just landing the trick because I basically stay in the pencil position forever until I land on my back. I can’t really commit to uncorking or something.

You both sound like you guys are rorking which means you should probably look up like bruce oldhams vids on good cork 7's and work on fixing set take a lot of videos and compare.

You gotta decrease the length of your flipping axis (the distance from your head to your feet) in order to speed up the corking so it completes a full cork by the time you spin 720.

this is why most ppl who do cork 3s with their body scrunched up from head to toe and legs and arms spread from side to side.

Google search about conservation of angular momentum if you want to learn the physics of it.

Depending on how you contort your body you can speed up or slow down either your rotation speed or your corking speed.

Yeah, just watch cork tutorials and you can see how to set it and all cuz rn your going into rodeo then corking or throwing your right shoulder in front. You want to pop up leaning over left shoulder airplane... then pullover. Then you got it.

Can you guys even do a regular 7? The thing about trampoline training is that you should really be able to do every single variation between straight pencil 7 to aerial style back double full. You should be able to begin your corked rotation early or hold it off and from there be able to do a subtle dip or really lean into it at will. Once you figure that out learn it all unnatural.

Yeah I’ve done 7s and 9s on snow but that’s not the issue for me, my issue is that I just start spinning corked and then never uncork I stay horizontal when I land

Well my point was more to start with straight spins on the trampoline and introduce slight corks and gradually more and more to the point you’re actually understanding it. The vid you posted you’re not spotting and just giving up on the rotation because you are completely lost in the air

U rotationg too early on takeoff

Pop hard before you spin. Youll figure it out very soon.

If you commited to that one tho u could have easily stomped cork 9

Ur probs doing same thing as other dude. Stay tucked and you will uncork thats just the way it works. Ur probs also setting it too early like him too

learn the set to your back first (pop up and back with a big T set, so that your head is behind you feet and you’re looking at the ground, then wrap and land at your back around 450) then just do it higher and it will just come to your feet, once you get the set right it’s a really mechanical motion

Is doing a pencil spin bad because that’s what I do

Pencil spins work for cork 10’s but for 9 and less you wanna be tucked the whole time

you could pencil off axis for the first 3 then brings knees up and that would be a cork 7 but its easier to learn it flippier i think first.

You dont want to be that tucked for a 9. For 3s and 5s you want to be tucked. For 7s semi tucked, but i think on a 9 you can bring the cork around pretty easily without tucking that much as long as you throw enough cork in at the beginning.
