Canon t3i wide angle help

i have a canon t3i want the widest lens possible without getting a fisheye (and the massive distortion that comes with it) I was looking at the rokinon 12mm. The problem is that since the t3i is crop sensor that works about to an 18mm. Is that wide enough for follow cams and such?
 
I have a Tokina 11-16 on my t5i and it is perfect for follow cams

Widest possible that still looks good imo opinion is 8mm (Check out samyang/rokinon/etc)

If you don't like the distortion, the 11-16 is also a stellar option. I personally use both...
