Canon t3i vs. canon t2i

I'm getting into filming quite a bit and am looking to get a better quality camera than I have now. I'm mainly looking at the t3i and t2i. What are the main differences between the two? I'm mostly going to be filming with it, but will be taking pictures as well. Also if you guys have any other camera recommendations under 900 USD ( spending price of 1200, 900 for camera 200 for new lens (or glidecam)) ++k for good answers.

I'm debating between the same models! Seems like the t3i is a little too new to have any solid reviews but I found the comparing option on canon's website to be somewhat useful....

I'm not extremely camera savvy yet, but the file sizes on the t3i are the same as the 7d. Otherwise I'm going to wait for more reviews to come in. Good luck!

not a whole lot of difference... as for the 60d, read the t2i vs 60d thread. after reading it, i'm going between those. probably the 60d because i'm using it more for photog than vid

They're literally the same thing, very small minor differences. Its basically the same camera in a little different body. id get the t2i if i were you

I actually am going to get it just because I really do want the flip screen, I always have angles from below of above and am unable to see the screen so I think it's pretty helpful.

The differences between the t2i and 60d is the 60d has adjustable mic setting the flip screen and a better newer sensor while the t2i doesn't the of the 60d as at2i with more adjustable settings and it's more video friendly than t2i and t3i. Photography wise I think all 3are basically the same just 60d is more video. If I were you save up for the 60d.

I think I'm going with the 60D pebause the 5.7 fps up to 57 mpeg or 18 RAW for pictures sound really promissing. thanks and ++k to you all.

t3i has fucking auto zoom, which we all now would be way easier to use when filming skiing, plus the flip out screen would be nice so you can see your high and low angle shots

oo no i'm pretty sure the photos are the same too. it's just that the 60D and 7D have better features for photography (better autofocus, faster burst mode, etc.). but as far as i know, same sensors will produce same photos
