Canon Lense

hey i just realized i have a Canon EF 16-35mm f/2.8 II USM Lens and i was wondering how well it would work for skiing? i'm not an expert at all when it comes to this so any info would help. thanks ns.

It would be a nice follow cam lens with it's wide angle but that's about it. You wouldn't be able to be very far from your subject for shooting.

rats.

all jokes aside its a great lens, do you plan on using it for photo or video?

my step dad gave me this camera like last summer and i just stored it. and i kinda just came upon it a little while ago and decided to look it up aha

Hearing that made me cry a little. It's a beautiful lens and if you take the time to learn to use it you'll be able to do good work with it

well i'd like to use it for video, but problem is i don't have a camera body to support it :/ the camera its attatched to right now is too old and beaten. i was thinking of saving up for a t2i? or selling this lense and buying a t2i with the money plus another lense. which option is best?

which body is it attached to?

I'd keep the lens if i was you, looks like a perfect wide angle lens

camera technology keeps progressing, but a good lens is always a good lens, so keep the lens and save up for a decent body. a t3i or 7d would be a great start, but you'll probably be able to find a deal on a t2i somewhere since it's now 'outdated' by the t3i.

Yea a t2i is a perfectly fine camera, the t3i's differences are "gimmicky"
