I have a Canon digicam, I can't find the CD that came with it, and I need Imagebrowser OS X to get movies off it from christmas... And Canon are basically a bunch of jap cuntrags who won't let anyone dl the software, just updates, so if you lose the CD you're dead fucked. Can anyone send me the app maybe? Or is there any other way to get this stuff off my camera?

^Unfortunately, clicking the "download now" link will just redirect you to a list of all the canon products on their site. I don't want to buy anything ELSE from those useless pricks, so this does not help me. I seriously have been looking for hours and there is no way to download the software except by having someone send it.

Been there too, if you'll note the link for download says "5.2.1"... it's just the updater from the Canon site. It's not an actual app.

do you HAVE TO have that exact software? I know on Windows, the camera is treated like an external hard drive and you can just copy the pictures right off it like you would any other file, AND there are tons of other types of software that work with it as well.

Yeah, for mac I need that exact software. I'm annoyed, too, because for Nikon cameras it does treat it like a flash drive or an EHD exactly like you said, but not canon apparently.

have you tried importing using imovie or something? i use canon digital SLRs and i don't have the software or a memory card reader, but i can import the memory card using iphoto

I can import the pics through Iphoto, but not the movies. Imovie doesn't work for obvious reasons, either. Does no one have the software to send me? Through AIM or msn perhaps?

if you were closer to me, then I would like to hang out and you could borrow my disc. But I am a few provinces away from you ;)

i have a Canon, and I use it on my buddy's PowerBook all the time, it just connects as an external hard drive. What camera do you have? Mine is the 10D, and I know 100% that it works without any Canon program.
