Canon 70D vs. Panosonic GH4

Looking for a good camera for skiing. Just need to nip which one you would prefer

Pretty signficant differences here, the gh4 will absolutely blow the 70D out of the water for video, maybe the 70D is better for photo? I dunno, i've seen a lot of good photos from the gh4 as well. If it was me, I'd go gh4 no doubt about it.

70D is better for stills because the Autofocus (especially for sports) is miles faster, can actually track subjects (mirrorless cameras cannot do this effectively, especially at smaller apertures) and... I don't know, but I like having an optical viewfinder.. it's pretty nice.

the GH4 will take a piss on the 70D for video, though... absolutely. By a longshot.
