Canon 500d / Rebel t1i filming

Hey,

So yeah. a couple of weeks ago I bought myself a canon 500d (european name) or otherwise known to you american kids as a Rebel t1i. I started out filming using the 720p @ 30fps mode and Its actually pretty decent, I had some problems with a few clips being bad quality but its a first generation D-SLR so its ok.. I made a little test video for you guys.

I like it, its good for a test edit! And the clip with the spider is sick. Did you do any colorcorrecting at all? I dont think test-edits should have any post CC.

looks real sikc. the DOF seemed reall good, i think that is cause its a dslr. nice work!

here is crappy test, literally first day right out of the box, i did not touch the exposure compensation, or the white balance settings. since than i have really gotten a feel for the exposure compensation and have created my own custom white balance settings off of various warming cards. this camera shoots great video and amazing pictures, would recommend to anyone.

very good ! I recommend getting a Sigma 50mm f 1.4 prime for it if you are gonna film alot, in general if you are gonna be filming you should go with primes. the Sigma also takes awesome portraits.

It's a very fun camera, it gives you very rewarding and complex effects with little work.

thanks!

yeah i am definitely getting a 50mm just need to shop around, but the sigmas definitely.

i have started working with color more aswell, so i will post a few test clips up soon enough.
