Canon 24-70 or 24-105?

Hey everyone. I have the 24-105 right now for my 5D, but I was wondering if I should sell it and go for the 24-70?

I rarely use this lens over about 80 or 90mm anyways, and it would be nice to go wider aperture, but is the 24-70 going to be better at 24mm, or should I just stick with the 24-105?

I just picked up a 24-70 over the 105, its quite a bit sharper all the way through the range and the extra speed is nice. my main reason is the subject separation at f4 just isn't enough for what I plan on using it for.

the 24-105 shows more distortion, more fall off and is less sharp in the corners at all lengths. This has been tested you can look it up

It sounds like the 24-105 your only lens? Really, 5d's have such good noise performance, unless your a working photographer or ONLY shoot at night or indoors, I'd just stick with the 24-105, that lens's IS lets you shoot with pretty slow shutters, and if you really need an extra stop, you can always just bump up the ISO.....
