Cannon 13/14

I'm super pissed I couldn't make it up this weekend for the snow. Have fun you lucky bastards
 
Have you guys been getting some at Cannon? Conditions have been terrific for this time of year. I've been logging some great days. Can't wait till they get the upper mountain open to really start rack'n some vert!!

I was gonna go up this weekend, but I dont really think its worth it if its gonna rain all weekend

Super stocked they post poned the rail jam so I can make it. Too bad it's the jam thaw though... Hope it's not too bad up there
 
It was actually pretty good this weekend. Not too icy and the snowmakers have been doing a really good job

does anyone else think their snow report is out of wack??? I mean i get they are doing promotion but how can they say there's 15 inches on snow in the past week. up top might have gotten 6 or 8 but 15!? no way
 
they've always been sneaky with that, I remember about a month ago they reported a foot because everyone else was but only got about 5 inches. this week wind was probably a factor (1 foot of snow 2 feet of wind etc) but yeah they definitely exaggerate a lot
 
Skied echo yesterday and it was knee deep with a good base. Ended up hitting a tree and breaking my scapula. I'm out for a month but it was a sick day none the less.
 
They finally have the park fully up and running an it is AMPED. Today was the Bern Big Air Contest. With some huge hits! But actually the best part about having the event going on was that the trails were deserted and you could let it rip.

Cannon's park is sick but everyone in their park is a dumbass. I can't begin to say how many times I've been cut off in the past few weeks from fools standing in landings/runways... especially under the cannon rail. Just because nobody else hits it doesn't mean it's ok to stand right under the feature goddamnit.
 
I think we are in need on an edit. Shoulder turned out to be pretty bad so I'm out and dying to see the park. What better way than a good edit.
 
ahh haven't been skiing the park much at Cannon, honestly i think it's pretty sucky and boring. I know Lars and Josiah are doing there thing but it's pretty bad.

Been skiing some other stuff though and have got some sick fresh snow!!! Been an awesome few days after the storm!

^ Wat the fuck, thats bears gut right there in the background. And other than that are than any other big cliff spots with good landings?? On ski the east I saw a pic of a guy doing it, looked sick and it wasn't like the dude was pro or some shit. Guy just sent it.
 
There's a good cliff called lemmings leap off of tuckerbrook that's pretty big and then more on whiskey barrel, mushroom, snowmakers glade and then some really fun ones on tramline we did the other day
 
^ Where is Tucker brook and Whiskey Barrel ?? Can you actually do anything off any of them like spins or flips or are they really tight as far as being surround by trees and shit?
 
You could probably get a spin in on lemmings because it's pretty wide open, but not really in mushroom or anywhere else. There's a pretty big rock in banshee glade with a good run in, but the landing is flat as hell. Hit it with speed and when there is good snow and it would probably work. There are also some big ones on tramline, but they are pretty sketchy
 
oo yeah haha but i can't tell you too many ski them already, just do some exploring im sure youll be able to find some if we get some more snow. The rain this morning sucks
 
^ ya haha i skied today and yesterday and it was anoying but this week hopefully I get up there and it's suppose to snow Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday but only 30% chance. hopefully it snows though!!
 
That second picture is me. I found everything by exploring and observing where people disappear into the woods. Then just going for it. For this season the top 2 pictures you probably won't be getting to, unless we get another big storm. No one will tell you how to get to these spots, but if you get in with the locals and ride with them, sometimes you get honored to venture to these spots with them.
 
Looks sick Chris! I did bear gut the other day and it's pretty sketchy. It gets a little better after the cliff though, still not great
