Candide dropped by rossi?!!

Nah 123ski, 4frnts are made in tunisia, I got a pair this year, thats what they say. dont bring them into this clusterfuck.

K2 is a mother company that owns a whole bunch of smaller ones, including, Line, Volkl, Marker, Tecnica, Cleveland Golf and Rome snowboards to name a few. Quiksilver is the same way. They own Dynastar, Look, Lange, Rossignol and a bunch of otehr companies. Or maybe its Quiksilver that own s Cleveland Giolf, I'm not sure.
 
Seriously, this whole thread is stupid. There have been about two truthful statements and way too much speculation. AS far as brands and parent companies go, use this wacky intraweb thing for about 2 minutes and figure it out.
 
Yes, and when 123ski has any sort of speculation in his post, it must mean that the thread is super super super super speculative.
 
candide is a very politically active person and his home country of france has decided to make a brand specifically for their military, but they thought, "why not produce in larger quantities and sell to the public and decrease resort affiliated taxes?" so that is what they are doing. candide skis for the country of france's skis in order to decrease taxes for his people. nothing to do with quiksilver or rossignol.

and quiksilver would make snowboards way, way, way before they would make skis.
 
Ok, well seeing as this is quite the cluster fuck of a thread, im going to put in my two cents as well. I believe Candide move to Rossi in the first place because quiksilver bought rossi out, and not because of any promodel bullshit. Now if my memory serves me correct he moved right before they bought the company out. I think quiksilver just told him that they were going to own rossi soon, and it would be best for him to move to that ski brand. Candide has been on Quiksilver outwear/goggles for YEARS. It is a company that backs him no matter what, and he feels safe with them. I believe he has said that in a few interviews.

Now if quiksilver starts making skis, then it would be just a better move for him. He would be working with people/reps that he knows. Finacially it would just be a better move for him since i have been hearing that Rossi has had a little bit of money trouble. But again im just going through what my common sence is telling me.
 
Hmm its too bad we dont live in a communist society. Then the government would own everything and this thread would be pointless.
 
wow is this thread really just about arguing what companies own what?

Im pretty sure candide moved to quiksilver skis because its the same company as rossi anyway, and rossignol is doing super shitty right now. Anywho does anyone find it ironic that these new quiksilver skis are going to be made by dynastar. That will mean that Candide went from dynastar, to salomon, to rossi, and then back to dynastar skis. I mean he had his own pro model on dynastar 6 years ago.
