Candide 1.0 or 2.0???

Personally I'm just looking for other peoples' opinions/comments on either of these skis.

I'm looking to buy new skis for primarily park use. I'm trying to decide between the Candide 1.0 or the 2.0 skis. I generally like a longer ski. I wouldn't be making this thread if Faction had the Candide 2.0 model in the 184 cm length in stock. Unfortunately they don't. So I'm either going to get the 2.0 with 178 cm length and a 102 mm underfoot or the 1.0 with 182 cm length and 90 mm underfoot.

Now a little bit about myself if your going to give me advice. I'm a telemarker living in B.C. I'm generally in the Backcountry but I do find myself ripping resorts. I don't need new pow skis but I do need new park/resort skis. Most springs I spend in Whistler lapping the Black Park and will also spend days at Sun Peaks or Revelstoke. I'm 6 foot 1, 165 lbs and ski quite aggressively.

If you have any thoughts let me hear them!

at your size you would completely overpower the 178 2.0. but given the conditions the 1.0 might not be the best ski, unless you have something a bit wider.

honestly, i would wait to get the 184 2.0 or find a different ski to throw into the decision.

Yeah what Blake said. Either wait or pick a different ski, maybe the shreditor 102 in a 184? And they size a bit big

I'd wait for the 184 2.0s. I'm 5'9" 145 and ski the 178 and they are the most fun ski i've ever been on (aside from my elizabeths)

just grab some 183 or 191 3.0's, If I didnt want to save the edges on mine I would use them in the park, I already use them every day thats not park on the east coast, and they weigh the same as the soma's that I use for park skiing.
