Canadas Wonderland

i love canada's wonderland, i have been waiting to go for such a long time. i wish i lived near there, it'd be a cool place to work.

i think considering steve wont get off his ass to organise the golf thing everyone should meet at wonderland

where do u live?

i live in to, it takes me like 40min-1hour to get there... if im bussing

how much do they pay lifegaurds?

i applied to ontario place and parks and recs. i got the hook ups with this girl i work with at loblaws and she might be able to get me into douglas snow.

like 9$ an hour... not alot for a lifeguard, but its sick cause its a fulltime job and u earn much more than parttime with higher wage...

oh, and u dont need any certificates for wonderland. they teach u all the stuff and pay u for that.

i was thinking about ontario place, but i really dont feel like getting downtown every morning during the rushhour...

true, i don't really want to work at either of the big water areas ontario place/wonderland.

friend was telling me its like majors every couple days....blahh

yeah, thats real safe, considering it took me like 7 courses to be fully certified to be a lifeguard. (including instructing) all of wich are 40+ hour courses. (thats a 8 day, 5 day week). Shitt, thats sketchy as hell at wonderland. like .. shitt.

not nls, but nasco...

i didnt take nls atall. u need it for the wavepool, but not for the rest of the stuff. if u have it, u get like 50cents more

wonderland is gettin extermly boring,, since all those new houses went in around it, it destroyed there chances of expanding.. now there stuck with very little land to build new big things... I think they should tear down dragon flyer, and build a new sick ass roller coaster...

im getting to the point that you dont really know much about saving someones life. sure, they train you, "press your button in your walkie talkie and say 'code 44 (drowning victim) hurry! i dunno what to do!' "

You cant put a price on saving someones life. Im saying im going to be 100% more careful next time im in that water park. Like, ivan, what if i broke my spine, as i came down a slide and hit someones kid, and im laying head first in the water unconcious? what would you do?

something like this would BE SICKKK

they actually taught us quite alot of stuff.

the thing is that there are not really that many places where u can drown, except the wavepool and the black hole, where they only let work people with certificates... nls and bronze cross or smthing, i dont remember.

but on the rest of the slides, where there is much less danger, they let us newbs work

umm its shallow water so yes to canadian. there are like 2000+ bystandeers, you get someone else to do modified. But check towards knowing a roll over.
