Canada weed?

ok guys i have heard mixed things about canada i went a couple weeks ago it seemed laid back with weed and everything.

but i have a few questions whats the legal standing is it illegal? or legal? in quebec?
 
its decriminalized and i believe that you are able to have up to a gram before you can get fined or anything
 
well its sort of where you go in canada. big citys are a little more strict about it. where as in my town they really dont care at all.
 
no. that was for like 2 months a few years ago.

you get busted for possesion no matter what amount.

It's sorta relaxed, but not really. Just more relaxed then the states.
 
Ya i mean Vancouver is rediculously chill about it. The spot next to NAC was quite an experience for me haha. And I got caught rolling a joint in the middle of whistler circle by the supermarket and they just searched me to see if i had alot then let us go. took my joint though, bitches.
 
I live in the interior BC and its really relaxed. Ive been busted by police on more than one occasion. One didnt even search us, just said, "take this somewhere else guys. have a safe night." and another was slightly more strict and told us to smash our pipe. he didnt search for weed or anything, and didnt take our names.

Just dont be doing it anywhere obscenely public and you should be good to go in a small town at least.
 
They are far from bitches. You were doing something blantantly illegal in a very public place. He could have been WAY harsher, like a big fine and maybe even some jailtime depending on the amount.
 
Obviously they aren't "Bitches" i'm just being a dick, I deffinately don't think in any circumstance they would have followed through with anything but a 50 dollar fine. We actually talked with him about it and unless they were just being super lax that day they don't give a shit as long as your not selling it or have like tons on you. He said they realy only give out fines for peeing in public and drinking in public, atleast in whislte village.
 
it is completely legal. when you come to canada next don't worry about smokin' up in front of the cops. actually - the cops in canada are kind of shy (being the friendly folk that we are and all), but they like getting stoned, so don't hesitate to offer to sell them some of your bud if they look interested in you.
 
depends where u are, most places in canada are pretty slack, but i would say bc is the most, there is even a bar kinda thing in vancouver that u can smoke worry free in after like 6pm or something
 
i think in calgary its only a small fine if you have under 4g but anything over that is possesion with intent to sell or something like that

could be wrong though
 
its not legal.. but the cops dont care that much.. in motnreal.. where i live.. they see us smoke and dont say ne thing.. so i think they're jsut really laid back.. but ive talked ot a cop about it.. and ne thing under .5g's they let you keep.. which is basically nothing..but wtv
