hey maybe someone can help me , i recently had a job interview with a resort in Colorado and i would get the job if i could get a work visa but after looking online i cant find a visa id qualify for HALP

Get married, or pay for a lawyer and do it the expensive/hard way.

I have a friend trying to get a visa to work in the US cause he keeps getting amazing job offers if he can get a work visa... He is spending something like $5000 to get everything done.

Good luck.

I think you are eligible for this, but I bet Mexicans used up all the visas:

H-2B Temporary or Seasonal Nonagricultural Workers – Review USCIS H-2B program requirements and regulations, which apply to all petitions filed for this visa category. NOTE: USCIS may approve a petition for this visa category on your behalf if you are a citizen or national of a designated country. If you are a citizen or national from a non-designated country, USCIS may approve a petition on your behalf if it is determined to be in the United States’ interest. Learn more from USCIS. So ... I'm just gonna bump this (legitimately) because I want to move to Colorado for the upcoming season. Anyone have experience getting the H2B visa ? It's temporary work visa for non-agricultural, non-immigrant status so I'm not looking for the get married response/to pay immigration fees. Is it better to have a job before applying for the temporary work visa or to get the visa then apply for work ?

thanks !

Not speaking from experience but I have housed a few British soccer coaches in my day. If your employer can argue you bring a skill that they need, they may help you through it. If not, you may want to check with the employers to see what they recommend. Many resorts on the east coast seem to hire Kiwis or South Americans so there must be something that ski resorts seem to do.

I can ask my friends to see if they can pass on some advice.

Thanks so much. And I know ! There are always people from all over at ski resorts, but how do they get in !? Any and all (helpful, relevant) advice would be appreciated.
