S Stangyhank69 New member Feb 2, 2022 #1 I’m envisioning bolting a hinge on the front and a latch on the back, but in order to make that durable it would also be very heavy. I am wondering if there is a way that would save on weight.

cydwhit Active member Feb 2, 2022 #2 Yep, folks used to use these MFD plates: https://www.evo.com/alpine-touring-ski-bindings/mfd-alltime-salomon-touring-binding-plate-m/l They were heavy, didn't walk very well, and apparently they screwed up the flex of the ski, but they sorta worked.
