Can you touch the inside part of a prizm lens?

I just wore my brand new Flight Deck XM's out for the first time and there was a tiny little speck on the inside that I couldn't get off. I licked my finger and rubbed it a bit, then dried it with my goggle bag. I just randomly heard a goggle tech say never touch the inside of your goggles with your fingers. That seems a bit extreme to me, but wanted to get your guys' opinion and what you've heard...

It worked and got the spot out, FYI.

Gear talk but nbd. I try to avoid touching inside lens if I can but sometimes gotta get stuff out. What I’ve heard is best is to dab with a q tip rather than rub

ou aren't going to ruin it. However always try and avoid it. There is a coating that is part of the system.

Correct. There is an anti fog coating in there and once it’s gone you have to re apply.

BUT I’ve rekked so many times and gotten snow in my goggles so i had to wipe them out. So all of my goggles are scratched and have no anti fog but they work just fine :) :)

Nice thank you. Any good recs for anti fog?

Buddy used to rep for Oakley. You can touch the insides of your googles but you'll likely ruin them. According to him, NEVER touch the inside of googles. I think that was on the 3rd tablet of the 15 commandments, the one Moses dropped and then they became the 10 commandments.
