Can you bring a kendama through airport security?

i'm leaving to go to the airport in an hour.

Can i bring my kendama with me to use in the airport or will they think it is a weapon and take it away?

 
I disagree. They will shit a brick over the point on it and take it away or if you hide it in a carry-on pack WITH the ball on the point you might be able to get it through but I still dont recommend pulling it out in the terminal because theres a assload of security.
 
Yupp. I've brought mine on countless international flights. Just keep the ball on the point when it goes through the x-ray for safety's sake.
 
You should be fine, just explain if they ask (look innocent!)

Or you could disguise it as a dildo. Throw a condom over it (ball and stick together)
 
I retract my earlier statement. Around 1:29 it show an airport security guard trying one and around 1:49 it shows it on an airplane. SO, yes. You can take a kendama on an airplane.

Gotta keep in mind though, that the first shot you can't really see what the woman is doing, and for the second woman, you don't know what she does when she goes out of frame. If the dude releases an unedited version, then it should clear up some doubts that people still have.

Having said that, I do believe that the guy actually saw what he was filming, its just that he does a poor job of showing it on video. And people should definitely have to show their faces at security, regardless of immigration (scared of being racist is not an excuse... Islam is not a race!)
 
Lol, but this is very true. I'm all for religious freedoms. I may hate religion and everything it stands for, but I'll defend peoples' right to hold views different to my own until the end.

But, a person's right to religious freedom ends where everyone elses' rights to a safe flight begin.

just picked up my buddy who had completely forgot that he had pellet gun, the pistol kind, in his bag... and it didnt even get noticed by security.
