but i think this is a really good design, it's really sturdy and you can make it as tall or as wide as you like

It kind of depends on your set up. If you look around at all the threads of drop in's most average around 5 or 6. Mine is 6.5 and its perfect, gets enough speed to slide 20 ft rails easily.
