I'd appreciate if you'd all take a moment to partake in my poll, as well as leave some reasoning in the comments below!

Cheers to a banger 19/20 season!

How is the last one not the obvious choice? Littering is bad, but dying is worse.

I've seen people just drop their beer cans while on the lift, just inconsiderate people. Also the park dudes using anit-freeze to make landing lines and rail lines, that shits real bad for the local ecosystem up there, wouldn't a shit ton of beets and water do the trick? Plus red is easier to see than blue in the snow

I've always thought about this. Sometimes they use spraypaint too. Come on now.

If you cant hit the shot with the can into the garbage under the lift, should u even be drinking on the hill?

Beets? Who are you Dwight Shrute

So far it's looking like falling to your certain death is just a little bit worse than littering, note taken. Keep the votes and explanations coming!

I dunno about you, but ski resorts poison the local ecosystem on the mountain, as much as I love skiing, im well aware of how much we contribute to the environment on hill. Ever looted your resorts garbage disposal? It's ridiculous what people will chuck. It's a small change to use beets instead of antifreeze, maybe it's cheaper for the resort to purchase anit-freeze in the bulk.

I’m not knocking your idea, just find it funny you chose beets out of all the natural dyes out there

People who litter are people who don't care/think things through and are more likely to be the ones to cut you off or hit someone

Natural dyes would be sick

every time a snowboarder makes me bite the lip of a jump it would be tasty

At the parks I've worked in, we were discouraged from using anything red because it looks too much like blood. Also, usually the colour comes from some kind of concentrated dye mixed with water. There is just a little antifreeze added to stop the valves and nozzles on the dye pack from clogging with ice, which happens way too easily.

-littering is just disgusting , whether your a tree hugger or normal person just don’t be a pig ! it’s just common decency geezuz I’m ashamed to be part of the same race that leaves trash everywhere and to pig up something so beautiful ?

-short people and noobs need 170 cm skis

-ill never forget a lighter if I do I’ll start rubbing sticks I have a smoking problem

-am I on the gondola ? Maybe just troll thunder cocks on it ? And the litter would get cleaned up too so talk about two birds

-skunk smoke to the face? Ya your welcome for the free smells

Beer cans under the lift make me irate. It's just so damn easy to carry it to the top and throw it away. Same when people huck garbage out of their cars. Just bring it to where ever you are going I'm sure there's a garbage there. Littering is the worse.

Can't say I've ever had the inclination to "loot the garbage disposal" ...

The worst part is, resorts don’t give a fuck about their trash problem. Go walk around the base area of your closest resort/hill once all the snow melts. Guarantee you find millions of pieces of shredded plastic, crushed cans, wrappers and cigarette butts. Most resorts don’t do anything to clean up. My resort does a village clean up day but they don’t give a fuck about the mountain because that’s out of the public eye.

Went to walk around at big Sky a few weeks ago and saw the same thing. Picked up as much trash as I could hold and also found an employee name tag. Wonder how I should put that to use?

Everyone out here talkin about the real issues..... but people are out with skis under 170 cm? smh you all just turn a blind eye

Someone gave me a dirty look for throwing orange peels of the gondola. but I always throw away wrappers and cans. Is it alright to just chuck biodegradable stuff in the tree or is that still to much of an eye sore

Where I'm from, they'd be waiting up top to put a bullet in the back of your skull. What a disgusting offense

Morbid, but in a gondy full of people, odds are some of those people survive but barely with very severe injuries and it could be you, We dont really know what the terrain setup is or if the thing plummets straight onto a knifepoint rock or tumbles off another cliff, etc. Assuming it was you that survived with bad injuries, survived, recovered fully, and reaped the benefits of a massive lawsuit, you wont ever have to work another day in your life and get to ski a bunch.

Please don’t , just pitch it in a can at the top

if your mountain doesn’t have cans available go to their hr and bitch

in a tree? I’d hope to see you fall as you toss , a litterer is litter I’d be happy to see as litter

That's good to know were I'm from people leave there crap around all over the place. People just throw beer cans, and garbage under the lifts and no one really cares that much. I've found a rusty pair of skis in the forest because he didn't want to bother hiking the 5km back carrying his skis. I've found a snowboard someone lost in the trees too.

Nah, because if everyone did it, the place would be so trashy. Imagine skiing the liftline and seeing banana peels, orange peels, apple cores, etc.

But even besides that, they can take quite a while to biodegrade I've heard. That's why you shouldn't throw it out even if you were just out hiking or backpacking. Definitely just keep it in your pocket until you come across a trashcan.

I remember in the 90's, mogul and aerial jumps uses to be marked with red spray paint... We have come a long way.

Chalk is now the preferred method.
