Can i ski a 178?

Yo, I really want a pair of hg stinger/Kilbride promodel's or transfers but they only come in 178. I'm about 5'9 and on 170 candide 1.0's right now which is a tiny bit short but a pretty good length. Will you think a 178 will be to big or fine? Also give me your opinion on stingers vs transfer.
 
Im 5'9, on a 170 Da mollie so in the same boat as you. I just rode a pair of 178 Edollos on Sunday for like 30 mins and I must say they felt a bit heavy, maybe a tad long but it was mostly swing weight that killed me. Im light so not super strong, but the more I rode them the better I felt on them. It will be a change, but if you grow like an inch or two within the next year and gain like 10 pounds I don't see it being an issue. You could survive, just need a few days to adjust
 
you could go for them. They're not much of a step from the 170 1.0s and youll be able to manage them. I too am 5'9 and ride 181s in the park with no problems so the 178s should be good especially if you may grow some.
 
I'm 5'7" and ride 177's. It actually really helps for rail balance and stability at high speeds.
