Can i say something

okay i'm not trying to bash on anybody and i totally support people who try, but there is something that is ticking me off.

okay i'm an athlete and am confident in my abilities so i feel like i can say this. i've been watching videos of people who live close to mountains and get to go all of the time and it ticks me off that they aren't better at skiing that me. i've only been in the park for two years, but if i lived closer to any mountains i would definitely be alot better, i can feel myself progressing each time i go out, and maybe i'm a rare case, but i don't think that people are taking advantage of their opportunities. man if i had somewhere to go i'd be out there everyday, i have the biggest passion for skiing. i'd quit playing college football if i could trade it for skiing everyday. i'm not trying to be a jerk, but just take advantage of what you have, many of you are very fortunate to be able to ride all of the time. so for me go out there and go balls to the wall, go big or go home, i dont' want to sound cheesey, but just go out there and try to kill it.

i'm sure i'll get ripped for this thread, but oh well. tear it up out there, and good luck.

ha ha....like my mom says, "to each his own"....not everyone out there has the desire to throw a switch cork 9...so let them progress as they want to

no that's not what i'm saying, i'm not better than most people, just it seems like there are alot of people that suck. there are plenty of videos that kicked it hard, i'm just trying to say, take advantage of what you have, but thanks for being a fag, i appreciate it.

that's true fausto, i agree, hopefully you see my point too, i totally love that people are out there trying, and are blessed with the opportunity to be able to ski everyday, i just want people to appreciate it.

haha yeah i get it, i ski everyday at blue hills in Milton MA shittiest bumb in north america, wont be open for another few weeks and have lost many a season pass for making jumps and such

that makes sense about the pow, i definitely agree. i don't know, i think i'm incredibly jealous to those of you who get to ride whenevery you want. i love big mountain too, it's awesome. i can honestly say the best part about going to colorado is riding the chair lifts, there's so much anticipation and excitement, it makes me fell like a little kid again. i cant wait to go out in a month. just make sure you all appreciate what you do have, whether it be park or big mountain or anything, make it fun.

i live near a mountain and ive been getting better thsi year but just cause i live near a mountain doesnt mean i have to go out and try new stuff everyday. for me its just as fun to float a 5 around than go out and try to get better cause im not really in it to be super good i just do it for fun and sure i try new stuff sometimes but a big slow 180 gives me just as much of a good feeling as learning a 7 today

but whatever you can think that you want

yea I agree, lately if I could go skiing, I would. I don't care if it is icy or at a small resort, I need to get my fix, whereas there may be people out west that take for granted what they have every year, go out all night wake up at 1 and ski for 3 hrs. I on the contrary, in order to ride a real mountain need to be up at 445 so I can get there by 930-10 then ski all day just to drive 3-4 hrs home

as some very intelligent person has told the mankind: "you dont want the thing you dream of, you want to dream the dream."

i live like 2 minutes away from the next lift station and i can ride to my house, but i suck in the park... well i can live with it because i get better (but 20.000.000.000 billion times slower than you) and on my mtn there arent those kids, that come for a weekend or 1 week every season, that rip my ass off, so i guess that noone skis on my home mtn that is as gifted as you are...

and just for your topics name, yes you can, but you shouldnt.

you can take advantage of living close to a mountain by just going out and having fun, some people are content with their skill level, you don't need to ruin your day by trying all this shit you don't want to and bailing hard all the time

not that i do that, i go out and do stupid shit all the time...but im saying ^ that is okay too

I agree. I'm in UT and live 25 minutes away from some of the best skiing in the world. I agree with what you say because I see lots of kids that I ski with never get better. There is always another day to try something and push yourself. As for me I am with you. Skiing is my passion. As well as many others on this site. I dropped most of my classes in high school to ski. People really take what they have for granted.

dude, fuck you to tell me how to ski. I dont tell you how to ski. Props for progressing every time you ride, but I'm perfectly happy with where I'm at. Would I like to be able to throw cork 9's and all that shit? Yeah, it'd be nice, but skiing to me is about having fun, and I have fun every time I ski. I get in 70+ days a year (although this season i've been out for 4 weeks due to 4 fractured vertebrae in my lower back...) and I also progress pretty much every time I hit the hill, but it's not huge progression. Do your own thing man, and be happy with that.

striaght up

2 skis one love.

go out there and rip it up.

Wither it be learning your first 3 or trying that cork switch 7 cruton, or ripping that scary ass line you always bypass.

yea i agree with you guys, about having fun, all i'm trying to say is just appreciate every second of it. yea it might sound gay that i love skiing this much, but i do. i wish i could ski everyday, so just take advantage and enjoy it. i agree you don't have to go out and try and throw corked 9's every time your out, but just enjoy every second of it. the end...

Dude, I love skiing as much as anyone out there. It's the first thing I think of when I wake up in the morning.

Last year I pretty much got to ski every day...I still suck. I made progress all the time. I still suck.

You should worry less about how other people can ski and stop wasting your time on being jealous. I know a lot of guys who would be so upset to hear that you would rather ski than play college football. There are so many guys that playing football in college was their life's dream and you are taking it for granted because you love skiing so much.

See what I'm saying. Enjoy what you have, allow others to have their own.

maybe they just don't love skiing as much as you, or don't have the biggest desire to progress. They are fine with there straight airs, their grabs and 360s and their flat rails. Maybe you just want to go balls to the wall all the time becasue you love it more and you love the park, the thrill more. It may not neccesarily be becasue they don't appreciate what they have, it may just be because they don't want it as bad.

i love ski-in and im there nearly every day, but in the month ive been ski jumpin i only know how 2 back scratcher, saftey grab, star and the odd 1 on a good day. so it shows day after day isnt always good for you!!!

yup. your the FUCKING best skier on this site, no q's asked hands down your the best. i cant put my finger on why your soo good... maybe its the constant cock mongling you do, maybe your just a super mega ultra necrofiliac (sp) but whatever it is its working

FUCK YOU BITCH

OH and heres a quote from a previos post of yours "i've been skiing since third grade and park riding for the last year and finally getting serious about it. i learned 180s and 360s in my second week in the park and boxes, working on rails now, and think i'll get it all the next time out." YOUR FUCKING AWESOME CAN I GET AN AUTOGRAPGH?

bucky your a fag, i'm saying appreciate what you have, no need to jack the thread but thanks. how about you quit bein sucha homo. yea i'm still learning, no one ever said i'm the next tanner hall or anything, i was simply trying to make a point. do what you enjoy enjoy what you do.

seriously tho, i love this site, it's awesome all of the diversity and drama, thanks for making everything more fun for real for real!

dude when you made this post you knew it was gonna start drama. What was the point of it anyways? That we should all appreciate skiing...im pretty sure most people on this site do...basically this thread is pointless.

I have alot to say. When you live neer the mountains you ski so much sometimes you just arent down to throw down everyday. I try to give one day a week towards trying atleast one new rail trick and one new jump trick that day. Another thing is what can you do???
