So my bindings broke on the weekend, im not going to waste space explaining the break because i took many pictures. How can i fix this so it will hold up for atleast 1 day of skiing and possibly 2.

Help is greatly appreciated!

From what I am gathering from the pics, the front plastic piece holding your brake lever from moving forward is broken off? If this is the case, just try strapping your boot in. Once your boot is in your brake will not move forward. If you can get your boot in without it popping out you will be fine. Let me know if I am seeing this right.

Is it just the plastic that's broken? If so, just use some super glue, but be VERY careful that it doesn't get on the metal part of the break cause it won't release properly. It's just a quick fix, a better one would be to go to your local shop and see if they have a replacement break.

Bingo!

First thing i did when this plastic piece broke off, was try what you suggested. Unfortunatly the whole point of that piece is, like you said, to keep the break from moving forward the upwards. Unfortunatly without this piece, getting the break to stay in its right spot while taking your boot out is next to, if not totally, impossible.

The problem with my break being like this is, well, it wont break. When i take my boot out the break doesnt deploy as it should, which means if i were to eject, i might aswell wave good bye to my ski as it fly's down the run.

To whoever suggested crazy glue, would this hold up in cold temperatures? Again, i only need this to stay together for tomorrow night and possibly on the weekend.

Well, I don't remember what tempature super/crazy glue holds up to, but I'm pretty sure Gorilla Glue holds up at like -65ºF, so if you have any of that lying around or can get any tonight that would probably be best, but if not, I'm sure super/crazy glue can hold up for at least a day or two.

I looked around in my basement and found 2 options for bonding

1- Contact cement

2- Epoxy ( hardener and resin, mix together, apply)

what should i use

Out of those two, I'd go with the Epoxy...it's used more around skis, so it should be able to hold up to the cold. Just be careful not to glue the break onto the track or the break arms to the plastic.

The epoxy was too thick and the contact cement was shit. Now i have a super glue smuthered(that portion anyway) binding sitting upstairs drying while i try and decide weather i should use my bro's skis or risk it on mine.

Any chance you have a solder gun? saldering it ahead of the brake should work.....but do not touch the brake lever itself. make sure to keep it ahead if you have one.

They probably have brakes at the rental/tech shop at your hill. If not just make like a 3 foot long leash and tuck the slack between your boot and your pants powder cuff. If you fall it will come out and your ski will be far enough away not to cause damage, and then your strap wont be dragging along the ground.
