Can having no racing background mean I'm not a good freeskier?

Yeah... and im sure if you took a backcountry rat who hucks cliffs and straightlines the gnar gnar, he wouldnt do very well in the park either, each i guess, "discipline" of freeskiing, if you want to call it that takes some work to get good at. Overall skiing ability helps for every "discipline" though. Its pretty much a given to know how to ski before "freeksiing". you gotta know the basics of edge control, stance, etc.,..

Smart choice, there is good money to be made in teaching as I'm sure you know, especially when you get to the higher CSIA levels and have some tenure at your ski school. Start getting those returning customer full day privates with big tips. Balling.

Where do you teach?

at my home mountain the park is at the top of the lift, and then you have a great long run after that, so when I lap park, I'm also lapping many other kinds of terrain. I just have a lot of fun skiing on whatever, so I'm not worried if my form is bad. I know that I can ski basically any terrain I want to, that's enough for me.

Personally, I've never raced or anything, but I think it would be super fun. Other than the spandies.

No, I'm no quintessential park skier. My poles fit me, my outfit and pants fit me, apart from my homemade tall sweater, even my skis fit me.

So no worries.

To get a good style, watch the good, veteran skiers ski mogul runs and stuff like that, and then try to copy their style. That's all I really did and I'm now a pretty well rounded skier. You don't need a coach or anything, although that would help.
