Hey guys just wondering if the airstrip is going to be open this weekend. We were planning on camping there. It would be great to know ASAP before we pack tomorrow. Thanks a lot, peace!

If you enjoy skiing in a soupy cloud, then go for it.

The road to Trilium, at last update, is still gated closed. I'm not sure if the other road (perry vickers) is plowed or not. Regardless, airstrip should still be under snow.

i talked to a forest ranger last week and he said they were gonna try to open it up this weekend for memorial day but there is still alot of snow, if i was you i would just go camp towards rhody

SUCCESS! camped out with some rednecks at the airstrip in the snow. There were legit spots with dirt though and our 50 X 50ft tarp served us well for the rain.

You guys think it will be melted out in a couple weeks? I'm looking at camping for a Saturday night sometime in June.

So im looking for a place to camp tonight and I wanna try the airstrip, ive never been, can someone explain where it is for me, i remember seeing a map somewhere on NS that showed right where it is. Also is it going to be SUPER crowded for the fourth out there. I am under the impression its not a very well known spot but idk

Might be skiing tomorrow. THe website says the mile only operates from 11-3. What?! Only 3 hours of skiing? I don't know if that is worth it...

I don't know why the website would say that. The Mile opens at 7am and runs until 2pm. Public park opens at 10:00am and is open until 3pm (hike only from 2-3pm).
